I have tried to learn English through several ways, but none was as effective as ELP at UPenn. UPenn and Philadelphia offered me the necessary conditions to improve my English skills. I admire the professionalism of the ELP professors and their ability to integrate multiculturalism, the different expectations, and visions of the students into the teaching-learning process. They make learning English comprehensive, addressing aspects that are relevant from socio-emotional skills to face the challenge of learning a second language. Moreover, UPenn provides some facilities for students to achieve their goals such as access to the library, laboratory ICT and comfortable zones that combine green and historical environments. The scenery is perfect to enjoy an academic, professional, and cultural experience in the one most important city in the USA.

"I had the opportunity to meet wonderful people from more than 10 different countries who attend ELP, also teachers with extensive experience."

The ELP has been designed for international students and professional people who are preparing to enroll in a university or need to improve skills and competencies appropriate for applying immediately in their job. People can take writing, reading, listening, and speaking, and elective courses. Classes are interactive and allow students to develop their language skills through meaningful learning. The professors and Staff in ELP provide students feedback, which helps students to engage in the self-learning process.

I had the opportunity to meet wonderful people from more than 10 different countries who attend ELP, also teachers with extensive experience, and go in for complete integration and including the process of the students in the USA and UPenn Live.

I work as a Director of Education in a Non-Profit Organization that works with underprivileged people in Colombia. Now I will come back with better emotional and technical skills on learning the English language.  I can speak English in a more fluent way, and I can argue my opinion clearly.

Finally, I want to highlight the hospitality and kindness of the people in Philadelphia, and especially the family in my Homestay, without them my positive experience would not have been complete.
