Looking at the Sunrise: How MOOC Participants can Foster their own Community
One criticism of MOOCs has been their potential to isolate learners (Clinnin, 2014). This presentation explores the ways in which instructors can encourage MOOC participants to form collegial relationships that leverage the unique experiences and perspectives of each learner, both to help them complete the course, and to foster enduring connections.

Engaging Middle Eastern Women in IEP Student Service Programming
This presentation shared best practices with other student services professionals in the field. Dougherty concentrated on why focusing on one group of students can increase participation in student services programming by other student populations. A discussion about ways to apply these ideas to other situations and groups at IEPs around the US ensued.
