What Ms. Ackerman does: She assists potential and current ELP students in the Main Office, and is one of the first faces you see when you come to visit. She is happy to address questions regarding your application, bill, health insurance, and basic immigration concerns. She can also assist students with obtaining official transcripts or enrollment letters. If she does not have the answer to your question, she will help connect you to someone else or another organization with more information.
Experience: She started as an EFL teacher in Spain in 2014. After moving back to the United States, Ms. Ackerman worked as a Course Coordinator for a TEFL school in Madrid. She developed a passion for working with international students within a higher education institution after working in this capacity. She joined the ELP team in August 2019, where she continues to enjoy working with a diverse population of students.
Travels: When she was in college, she studied abroad in Salamanca, Spain and then lived and taught English in Madrid, Spain after graduation. Since then, she has enjoyed traveling in Israel, Morocco, Greece, Costa Rica, Curacao, and many places in Europe and the United States.
