Mía Radanavong

Enrollment and Operations Assistant/Designated School Official (DSO)

What Mía Radanavong does: She assists potential and current ELP students in the enrollment office, and is one of the first faces you see when you come to visit. She will gladly answer questions regarding your application, our programs offered, and immigration concerns. She can also assist students with obtaining official transcripts or enrollment letters. Along with her role as enrollment and operations assistant, she creates I-20s for F-1 visas as well as advises students on visa-related matters. If she does not have the answer to your question, she will help connect you to someone else or another organization with more information.

Experience: She started as an au pair in Barcelona, Spain in 2018. After moving back to the United States, Ms. Radanavong worked as an English teacher for out-of-school youth through the migrant education program at her community college. She joined the ELP team in August 2022, where she continues to enjoy working with a diverse population of students.

Travels: When she was in college, she studied abroad in San José, Costa Rica, and then lived and worked in Barcelona, Spain. She continues to travel and help others through international education.

Education:

  • MSEd candidate in intercultural communication, University of Pennsylvania
  • BA in Spanish teacher education K-12 (minors in TESOL, international studies, Latin American and Latino studies), Illinois State University
  • AA in liberal arts and sciences, Parkland College
