Anne McDowell

What Anne McDowell does: She currently teaches reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and pronunciation to English language learners at the collegiate level. She designs teacher training workshops for ESL teachers at home and abroad and she hosts international students in her home.

Experience: She has taught English as a Second Language to grades kindergarten through college since 1991. She has also trained teachers in Papua, Indonesia, and in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania since 2007. Moreover, she has acted as a mentor teacher for the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania since 2013. She has also served as a host for Right at Home Homestay since 2014.

Travels: She has taught ESL in California, Florida, Pennsylvania, Spain, and Indonesia. She studied Spanish in Valencia, Spain in 1989, and Indonesian at the University of Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2007.
