My dream has always been to study in the United States because of the academic level of its universities, particularly the Ivy League. When I found out that I would have the opportunity to take the English Language Program this summer 2024 I was very excited and had high expectations above all.

My goal in being part of this program was to improve my English skills and over the course of the program, I achieved that. My communication skills were the most enriched aspect of the experience. Communicating with people from different countries, each one with their own accents, their pronunciation, customs and their etiquette rules, was a real challenge since each culture is very different. I broke many stereotypes about other cultures. Likewise, the activities in class were very helpful, the presentations made me realize my potential to speak English, and I felt very comfortable expressing my ideas throughout.

Thanks to this experience I was able to identify my strengths, skills and weaknesses. It made me aware of the areas I need to work on for continued personal and professional growth. ELP significantly boosted my self-confidence.
Overall, it was an amazing experience that exceeded my expectations. From the coordinators and teachers to the classes and academic and cultural activities, everything was very enriching. The quality of the program and the commitment of all participants created a very motivating environment for me. It inspired me to strive for improvement, to learn about their careers and what they told me, and to think “I want to be like them.” I think all of us who were there are exceptional people and professionals.
I have many cherished memories from ELP. I can confidently say that it has profoundly changed my life through the knowledge and experiences I gained. Everything I learned will undoubtedly have a positive impact on my future.
