What Toan Nguyen does: He teaches a variety of courses in the Intensive Program, such as Writing Accurately and Clearly and Advanced Reading for Academic Purposes.
Experience: As a PA certified teacher, he has extensive experience across various grade levels. Prior to joining the ELP team in June 2023, he was an instructor for EPIK (English Program In Korea), where he taught English in elementary schools and collaborated with Korean teachers on lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management. He also taught English to students of various backgrounds in the School District of Philadelphia while completing his master’s degree in TESOL at the University of Pennsylvania.
Travels: During his undergraduate studies, he taught abroad in China for a summer teaching internship. He also lived and taught in South Korea for four years. He has traveled to Japan, Canada, and Australia.
