What Steve Kopec does: He joined the ELP as a lecturer in 2010. He currently teaches online course offerings such as English for Professional Development and recently, Academic Writing and Research Skills and English for Business and Entrepreneurship. He has previously taught courses in the Intensive Program with a special interest in academic writing with IP, SIP, KAUST, and ITA students.
Experience: His teaching experience has evolved from adult ESL literacy to undergraduate, first-generation composition students to international students at the ELP. In addition, he has taught graduate classes in cross-cultural communication, TESOL methodology, and cultural pluralism.
Travels: He spent his junior year abroad at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid where he fulfilled many courses for his Spanish major. While in Madrid, he lived with a large, supportive host family and enjoyed train travel from Morocco to Italy to Serbia and all through Spain. He loves to travel and recently returned to visit Spain and Switzerland.
