What Jessica Keating Whitney does: She is the student services and programs manager. She runs the Student Center with the help of the Student Center staff. She plans trips and extra-curricular activities for the students in the Intensive Program (IP) and the Institute for Academic and Professional Studies (IAPS) program. She manages the IAPS program and helps IP and IAPS students with housing and general advice about student life and life in Philadelphia.
Experience: She started as a part-time lecturer in the English Language Programs in 2012. She has taught in a variety of English language contexts around Philadelphia and in one school in Mexico before that.
Travels: When she was in college, she backpacked through Europe twice. These were her first experiences with other cultures. Since then, she has travelled a lot in Central and South America, participating in Spanish language programs. She has also driven across the United States more times than she can count and has visited every continental state.
