Congratulations to ELP Lecturers Jeri Ahern and Karen Murray on their accepted to present at the TESOL Conference in Qatar in January 2016. Their presentation will be on “Adapting Presentation Styles to Meet Cultural Norms.” In this session, they explore presentation skills pedagogy and examine how to increase non-native speakers’ awareness of the nuances of presenting in English. Projects using cognitive multimedia principles will be shared. Attendees will leave with a wide variety of project templates that can be modified for different lesson objectives.
