Erick Hyde chosen for IACAC and NACAC Committees

ELP University Connection Specialist Erick Hyde has been chosen to be part of the Professional Development Committee for the International Association for College Admission Counseling. As part of this committee, he is co-chairing the Admissions Leadership Workshop where participants will:

• learn coaching principles and strategies to build resonant relationships

• understand the essential role of emotional intelligence and positive emotions in effective relationships

• explore keys to trigger greater levels of effectiveness in teams, departments, and organizations,

• discuss how to foster nurturing relationships that inspire others to learn, lead, collaborate, and adapt to continuous change.

Hyde has also been chosen to be a member of the International Initiatives Committee with the National Association for College Admission Counseling where he is helping organize the pre-conference workshop entitled “Fundamentals of Recruiting and Counseling International Students.” This workshop will cover topics including international student enrollment trends and industry challenges, financial matters, outreach and communication strategies, and English language and standardized testing.
