What Ms. Potter does: She teaches pre-intermediate to advanced courses in the Intensive Program at ELP. In addition to working in the Intensive Program, she teaches in special summer programs, tutors international and U.S. students, and is a certified rater of various exams.
Experience: After receiving her Bachelor’s degree, she taught English in Chile for two years. When she returned to Philadelphia she continued teaching English night classes and worked as a study abroad coordinator to help people learn languages all over the world. Since receiving her Master’s in TESOL, she has worked mainly with English language learners, but she has also taught middle school Spanish and English and civics.
Travels: She studied in Santiago, Chile while completing her undergraduate degree, and after graduation she returned to teach there for two years. She has traveled in Europe and extensively throughout Latin America.
