In February 2016, ELP Lecturer Maria Paredes Fernandez presented at the Northeast Conference on the Teaching in Foreign Languages (NECTFL) in NYC on Engaging Projects in Developing Cultural Competency using Project-Based Language Learning.
The U.S. Department of State, in cooperation with implementing partner FHI 360, has awarded the University of Pennsylvania English Language Programs a grant to develop and administer five Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for English language learners under the English Access Microscholarship Program.
For almost 15 years, Language Specialists Sheila Mayne and Susan Caesar have been teaching at the ELP. They have had countless experiences and interacted with students from all over the world.
This April, ELP Lecturer Steve Kopec will conduct a presentation entitled "'Canvas-ing' Rough Drafts: Utilizing Multimedia and Canvas to Guide Students through the Writing Process" as part of the Penn "Language without Borders: Technology Principles and Practices for Language Educators" workshop.
