The LPS International Student Pre-Orientation (ISPO) program is a workshop for newly admitted Fels, MSAG, MAPP, MES, MCS, and Organizational Dynamics students from outside the U.S. and is designed to give you a head start on a successful semester. The workshop will provide an opportunity to
learn about adapting to academic culture and life at Penn, to get to know the campus and the City of Philadelphia, and to meet current and new students from both your own program and other programs.
August 22 -26, 2016
The program is a 5-day workshop held in Fisher-Bennett Hall on the Penn campus. It will be a busy week, so we encourage you to arrive in Philadelphia by August 19 so you can unpack and adjust to any time differences.
Instructors are experienced, English language professionals who have extensive experience working with international graduate students.
There is no fee for participating in ISPO.
If you are applying to study on an F-1 or J-1 visa, you will be sent information about the 2016-2017 Application for 1-20/DS-2019 Form through the Office of International Programs. Follow these directions and apply using your program’s information and dates. You may enter the USA up to 30 days before the start
date of a degree program, so there is no need for special arrangements to participate in the LPS International Student Pre-Orientation program.
Please register for the orientation through your program director.
