What Ms. Caesar does: She teaches in a variety of programs in the ELP. This has included teaching in the Intensive Program, in the Business Intensive Program, and in Special Programs such as IBCP (International Business Communication Program), IAS (Institute of Academic Studies), the Toyota Study Abroad Program for Prospective Employees, and the ITA Program (International Teaching Assistants). She also serves on the Student Outreach Committee and mentors 3 part-time lecturers.
Experience: Before joining the ELP in 2001, she was an adjunct lecturer at the ALP at Columbia University (New York), and earlier in her career, she taught at the University of California-Berkeley and at San Francisco State University. She was a visiting professor in the Institute of Foreign Language Studies at Korea University (Seoul) where she also served as Academic and Faculty Coordinator. While in Korea (1996-2001), she was an English language consultant at the Korean Electric and Power Company and the Korean Ministry of Education; she also served as English Language Specialist to Kim Ho Jin, Minister of Labor in the Kim Dae Jung administration.
Travels: She lived and taught in Seoul, Korea, 1996-2001, and while there, traveled extensively throughout Asia. She has also given international presentations in Ireland, Croatia, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and Korea. Earlier in her life, she lived in Frankfurt, Germany, where she had an internship with Adox Photowerke, a subsidiary of the DuPont Company. She also enjoys spending vacation time in France with family and friends.
