What Ms. Mayne does: Her work mostly entails giving English language instruction; however, she also mentors and supervises fellow language instructors, as well as coordinates the summer IAS program.
Experience: She has been teaching English as a second and foreign language for 25+ years. She has also coordinated a number of ELP programs: Conversation and Culture (C&C); Fulbright; the Summer Institute for English Language Educators from South Africa (SIELE); and the Institute for Academic Studies (IAS). Ms. Mayne has presented at national and international conferences, giving workshops for ESL/EFL educators in the US, Canada, Mexico, Spain, the UAE, and Hong Kong.
Travels: She was on the faculties of San Jose State University, CA; the National University of the United Arab Emirates; and the Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico. She also worked as summer adjunct faculty for Korea University, Seoul, Korea; and Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, Japan. Besides these teaching experiences, she has worked and traveled in West Africa, particularly in Mali; parts of East Asia, Cambodia and Thailand; Israel; and China.
