What Dr. Scott does: Dr. Scott is an Adjunct Lecturer of English as a Second Language at UPenn ELP.
Experience: He has been teaching in the field of English as a Second/Foreign Language for about 14 years. He has been affiliated with ELP since 2013. In addition to his time at Penn, his teaching experience includes a position as Distinguished Visiting Professor at Beijing Jiao Tong University in China, Co-founder of an online English language learning platform, and Co-founder and Director of a NYC-based English language program. Dr. Scott has also instructed students at Wharton and the UPenn School of Dental Medicine.
Regarding research and presentations, Dr. Scott published research on his innovative grammar model in two peer-reviewed journals thus far. He presented research posters at two conferences held at Drexel University; was invited to present research at the Knowledge Innovation Enterprise Conference; was selected to present his doctoral research to the faculty and student body at the Drexel Graduate Colloquium; was invited by the Drexel doctoral program director and professors to present his research on behalf of Drexel University at the CPED Conference; and was invited by several Drexel professors in several instances to present doctoral research concepts to doctoral cohort classes.
Travels: He has experience in a host of countries— Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Panamá, Russia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and United Arab Emirates. Dr. Scott is multilingual.
