Rachel Chaffin

Lecturer

What Ms. Chaffin does: She has been an instructor at the ELP since 2012. She has taught both in the Intensive Program as well as special programs.

Experience: Ms. Chaffin started her teaching career in Japan, where she taught English to both high school students and adults. She also worked for the University of Pennsylvania as a Learning Instructor, assisting students in developing skills necessary for academic success.

Travels: She lived in Toyama, Japan for six years. Today, she makes it a point to travel as much as possible, particularly in order to go scuba diving. Countries she’s visited include: Aruba, Austria, the Cayman Islands China, French Polynesia, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, the Maldives, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Qatar, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.
