What Ms. Yi does: She primarily teaches academic English to students in the Intensive English Program, and has taught in the Institute for Business Communication and the International Business Communication for Professionals Toyota Program. She also advises students in the University Connection Program and has taught courses in writing university application essays.
Experience: Her career in teaching began at Indiana State University, where she instructed college international students in the Intensive English Program. She then went on to teach international and college preparatory high school students in the Chicago area. During this time, she was a college counselor and helped students in the college admissions process. She has also served as an educational director and teacher for a learning center.
Travels: Her career has taken her to China twice, where she taught English in Urumqi and in Nankang. She studied in Korea for a brief period, and has traveled to Mexico and Peru.
