Katherine Barlow

Lecturer

What Ms. Barlow does: She likes teaching students everything they can do with English. English can open up new worlds, opportunities, and people, and she wants to make sure you can take advantage of all that!

Experience: She has been teaching English since 2014. In addition to language classes, she has taught citizenship, professional development, and financial wellness classes to speakers of different languages. She loves helping people who have moved to the United States understand its systems and build successful lives. In addition to her work for ELP, she has designed programs and materials for local government and nonprofits.

Travels: I’ve taught in France and traveled extensively around Western Europe, visiting friends along the way. Coolest thing I’ve done: touched a Roman mosaic.

Education:

MS Ed in TESOL from the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education

BA History, BA French from the College of William & Mary
