James Riedel

Executive Director

What Mr. Riedel does: He oversees the entire ELP but primarily focuses on strategic planning, finances, enrollment management, business development, program design, and student recruitment.

Experience: He has been at the ELP since 2001 in a variety of positions: Executive Director, Associate Director of Programs, Business English Programs Coordinator, and Language Specialist. Prior to coming to the ELP, he was the Executive Coordinator and taught in the English language program at The School of Policy Studies at Kansai Gakuin University in Japan. He also taught in San Francisco for several years. In recent years, he has been actively involved in accreditation and program review for several national and international organizations. Mr. Riedel has studied Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, and Thai.

Travels: He lived in Japan for over 6 years. He has traveled on recruitment trips to Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Turkey, France, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Brazil, and Mexico. He also travels internationally on vacation each year and has visited numerous countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.
