Advice from College Admissions Counselors and Deans

The application process can be overwhelming. And it can be appealing to try to get advice from everyone you know, including your friends. But sometimes that advice can make you feel even more overwhelmed. Suddenly it seems that everyone is way ahead of you in the process.

So, stop. Take a deep breath. And check out some advice from experts in the field. A list of advice from college admissions counselors and deans was compiled by Brennan Barnard and published by Valerie Strauss. Barnard advises, “Students should think about what they want and how they are going to be intentional and balanced about pursuing their goals.”
