Partnering with the ELP (universities/nonprofits)

Thank you for your interest in partnering with the ELP. We partner with universities and educational nonprofits throughout the world. Please note that the ELP cannot participate in tuition exchange programs and does not offer financial aid. If you would like to discuss potential partnership opportunities, please email elp-marketing@sas.upenn.edu.

Representing the ELP (agents)

Thank you for your interest in becoming a representative for the ELP. Please note that the ELP does not work with agencies on a commission basis without first having a signed Agreement of Representation. An Agreement of Representation with the ELP allows the agent to represent the ELP only. It does not authorize the agent to represent any other school or program at the University of Pennsylvania.

If you are interested in becoming a representative, please review the agent procedure for becoming a representative and complete the prospective representative questionnaire.

Agent procedure for becoming a representative :

  • Step 1: Complete and submit the prospective representative questionnaire. Please also send the link to your website and a digital copy of your program brochure or catalog to ELP-Marketing@sas.upenn.edu.
  • Step 2: The ELP will review the questionnaire information and your brochure. If we are seeking representation in your region and if there is potentially a good fit between your agency and ELP, we will contact your references. Please note that ELP rarely signs agreements with agencies that do not have experience working with other university-based English language programs in the US. Exceptions can be made if an agency has previously sent students to ELP, and those students reported a positive experience with the agency.
  • Step 3: After receiving positive feedback from references, the ELP will send an Agreement of Representation for a one-year period. Your agency will need to sign and return the agreement to the ELP. If the relationship is fruitful for both your agency and the ELP during the initial one-year period, the ELP will offer an extended agreement for a three-year period at the conclusion of the initial agreement.
  • Step 4: When the ELP receives the signed agreement, we will send you a Certificate of Representation and a supply of ELP brochures. The ELP will contact you to set up a time for an agent training session. The agent training session will review the ELP programs, housing options, enrollment procedures, and policies. We will answer any questions you may have about representing ELP and will ask you for input so that we can partner with you to effectively reach and serve your market.
