Academic Advising Specialist

What Ms. Greenspoon does: She is part of the University Connection Program (UniConn). She advises students applying to and preparing for U.S. university degree programs and teaches a variety of UniConn courses, including: “Writing the University Application Essay,” “Writing the Graduate Application Statement” and “Skills for Success at U.S. universities.” Leah is a great resource for students to create their best applications and reach their goals for admissions.

Experience: She began her career in TESOL as an EFL instructor in Madrid, Spain. She taught a variety of business English and General English courses for students and professionals from 2005-2007. Leah first joined the ELP in 2009 as a lecturer, teaching courses in the Intensive Program, Business Intensive Program, and Conversation and Culture Programs. Leah then served as ESL Program Coordinator for Valley Forge Military College. She developed and coordinated an Intensive English Language and Culture Program for international cadets who were preparing for U.S. undergraduate programs as well as officer training programs in the United States Service Academies.

Travels: She lived in Spain for 3 years and taught English in both Spain and Italy. For six summers she taught in and directed an international youth program in southern Spain. She’s traveled extensively in Europe as well as Ecuador and Columbia.
