Jessica Keating Whitney

What Ms. Keating Whitney does: She teaches in the Intensive Program. She usually teach a 100-500 level reading and writing course. She has also taught a variety of electives. Last summer, she taught in the Institute for Academic Studies, which she greatly enjoyed.

Experience: She has been teaching English as a second language since 2002. She has taught in a variety of programs in Philadelphia including both community-based programs and academic programs.

Travels: When she was in college, she backpacked through Europe twice, which were her first experiences with other cultures. Since then, she have travelled a lot in Central America, participating in Spanish language programs. She also spent 6 months in Mexico teaching English in a town called Tehuacan.
